Academia Sinica (China – Taipei)
Academia Sinica was founded in Nanking on June 9, 1928. As the highest academic institution in Taiwan, Academia Sinica has two basic missions: conducting scientific research in its own institutes, as well as providing guidance, channels of communication, and encouragement to raising academic standards in the country. American Fisheries Society
The American Fisheries Society (AFS), founded in 1870, is the oldest and largest professional society representing fisheries scientists. AFS promotes scientific research and enlightened management of resources for optimum use and enjoyment by the public. It also encourages a comprehensive education for fisheries scientists and continuing on-the-job training. The AFS publishes some of the world's leading fisheries research journals: Transactions of the American Fisheries Society, North American Journal of Fisheries Management; North American Journal of Aquaculture (formerly The Progressive Fish Culturist), The Journal of Aquatic Animal Health, and Fisheries. AFS organizes scientific meetings where new results are reported and discussed. In addition to these primary functions, the Society has many other programs in areas such as professional certification, international affairs, public affairs and public information. AFS has more than 100 chapters, divisions, student subunits, and sections carry out the mission of the society at the local, regional, and special interest level.

Anthropological Forum
Anthropological Forum is a journal of social anthropology and comparative sociology that specialises in Australia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Founded in 1963 by Ronald M. Berndt, Anthropological Forum has a distinguished publication history. The journal provides a forum for both established and innovative approaches to anthropological research, and welcomes manuscripts from both experienced researchers and young scholars seeking publication for the first time. A special section devoted to contributions on applied anthropology will appear periodically. The editors are especially keen to publish new approaches based on ethnographic and theoretical work in the journal's established areas of strength: Australian culture and society, Aboriginal Australia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

Archaeology in Oceania (journal)
Archaeology in Oceania is published three times a year: April, July, October. It accepts articles and research reports in prehistoric and historical archaeology, modern material culture and human biology of ancient and modern human populations. Its primary geographical focus is Australia, the islands of the Pacific Ocean and lands of the western Pacific rim.

Article: "Projected Atmospheric Change Threatens Coral Reefs, Biosphere 2 Study Reveals" (Columbia University, New York, USA)
Newsletter article on a study conducted at Columbia University's Biosphere 2 Center that evaluated impacts of atmospheric carbon dioxide levels on reef building and maintenance. The paper suggests that atmospheric changes in carbon dioxide levels could lead logically to negative changes in reef structure, coral reproduction, and overall function of coral reef communities.

ASAONET
ASAONET is the Bulletin Board (called the listserver) for Oceanic anthropologists, primarily but not exclusively for members of ASAO, the Association for Anthropology in Oceania. It is dedicated to providing information and an arena for discussion on any anthropological topic that concerns Oceania, including archaeology, cultural anthropology, linguistic anthropology and physical anthropology.
