Note: on the second page of the form, the field "Cvv2 #" refers to the three digit security code on the back of your card after your card number (Visa, MasterCard) or the four digit code on the front of an American Express Card.

Note that PayPal, which processes our memberships, provides the format for the country list, and PSA has no control over how geographic or political entities are listed or categorized. For example, Taiwan (which is officially "China-Taipei" within PSA) appears as "Taiwan, Province of China". We understand there are sensitivities associated with this issue, and apologize for any confusion this may cause.

The online payment system PSA uses is handled by PayPal, which has a highly secure system and is safe for our members to use.

If for some reason you are unable or uncomfortable in using the secure online payment system, click here to join or renew your membership by filling out the Individual Membership form and sending payment by check to PSA. Note that unfortunately, PSA can no longer accept credit card payments by fax or mail, and is only possible through online secure server payment. This is the result of changes in U.S. laws concerning transmission and storage of credit card information, related to concerns over the use of such information by terrorist entities.

Membership Information

National members of the Pacific Science Assocation are Adhering Organizations, e.g., National Academy of Science or like body, from each country or discrete geographic area within or bordering the Pacific Ocean, or with scientific interests in the region, constitute the regular membership of the Association.

In addition, associate membership may be held by individual scientists, scientific societies and institutions, NGOs, and corporations.
